Mangalore, Jun 14: A bus moving to Bajpe from Kateel knocked down a pedestrian near Yekkar gram panchayat office near Bajpe on Monday June 13. The pedestrian, identified as Sanjeeva (52), a resident of Yekkar Majikare, was killed on the spot.
Sanjeeva was a driver by profession. He is survived by wife, two daughters, and a son. He was walking by the side of the road at the road bend near Yekkar panchayat office when the tragedy occurred. He suffered severe injuries to his waist and legs in the accident.
It is gathered that Sanjeeva was to perform the marriage of one of his daughters on June 20 at B C Road. On a complaint filed by Dinesh, son of the deceased, the Bajpe police have registered a complaint.
