Kasargod, Jun 15: The policemen of Chittarikal station have arrested a Madrassa teacher named Naseeb (25) on Monday June 13, relating allegations of sexual harassment to a student. Naseeb, a resident of Malappuram Kuttai, teaching Islamic preachings at Kunumkai Hidayattul Madrassa, was remanded to judicial court by Hosadurg court.

The mother of an eight-year-old student of the Madrassa in which Naseeb is a teacher, had complained against the said teacher. Based on the complaint, the policemen had registered a case. The complaint also alleges that the teacher had meted out sexual harassment on three other students of the Madrassa.

The teacher in question had moved an anticipatory bail petition in the court. During its hearing, the court ordered him to report at the police station. After he visited Chittarikal police station on Monday, he was arrested and produced in the court.
