Kasargod, Jun 16: The special CBI court in Ernakulam, on Wednesday June 15, permitted the investigating team, to subject 18  persons, whose involvement with the death of Mangalore Kazi, C M Abdulla Musliyar Chembarikka, is suspected, to narco analysis test.

The team had sought permission from the court to subject these 18 people to narco analysis, as normal investigations and interrogations had not resulted in important leads. The dates of narco analysis tests are likely to be announced shortly.

Out of the above, it is said that eight are from Karnataka, while the rest are from Kerala. These people had close connections with the late Kazi.

It may be recalled that the mortal remains of the then Mangalore Kazi were found lying on the seashore a little away from his residence in Chembarikka, Keeyur Kadappura, under mysterious circumstances on February 10, 2010. The family of the aged Kazi had several reasons to suspect involvement of mischievous elements behind his death. The investigating team has been putting efforts to find out the causes and culprits behind his death since long, but to no avail.
