Mangalore: Alleged Funds Misuse – Patalappa Gets Anticipatory Bail

Mangalore, Jun 18: It is learnt that Patalappa, district officer under the integrated tribal development project of the government in Dakshina Kannada district, who is facing the charges of misusing government funds to the tune of over Rs 80 lac, has secured anticipatory bail from the High Court.

Patalappa, who is accused of diverting public funds meant for tribal beneficiaries to his personal account, was suspended some time back. The zilla panchayat here had filed a complaint against him in Urwa police station relating to the above misuse of funds.

On Friday, Patalappa visited Urwa police station and presented the anticipatory bail order secured by him. The policemen said that he has promised to furnish to them some other documents and papers relating to the case in due course.
