Mangalore, Jun 20: The work on repairing the stretch of Konkan railway line between Ratnagiri and Nivsar stations in Maharashtra has been completed. A release from the railways said that the line was cleared for traffic at around 8.30 am on Sunday June 19.

Mumbai-bound Matsyagandha Express train left the city central station as per schedule on Sunday afternoon. The incoming train from Mumbai, which was to reach the city on Sunday morning, was about four hours behind schedule, the railway officials said. The CST-Mangalore Junction Express train and Madgaon-Ernakulam Express (10215) did not run on Sunday.

The timings of three trains on this route were changed, as the railway line was cleared only on Sunday. The Tirunelveli-Hapa Express (12998) will begin its onward journey at 22.00 hours instead of 5.45 am on Monday.  The Ernakulam-Lokamanya Tilak Express train, which was to leave Ernakulam at 21.30 on Sunday, is rescheduled to leave at 12.30 pm on Monday. The Ernakulam-Ajmeer Express (12977), the departure time of which was 19.50 on Sunday, began its journey at 23.30.
