Mangalore: Rains Visit a Few Places, Dry Weather in Others

Mangalore, Jun 23: Kadra in Uttara Kannada district and Subrahmanya in Sullia taluk received good rain on Wednesday June 22, even as rain preferred to stay away from most other parts of coastal Karnataka.

Some places in Sullia and Puttur taluks of Dakshina Kannada district received some rain in the morning. Kolli and Kajur in Beltangady taluk got good rain in the morning, with Ujire, Beltangady town and surrounding places, registering some rain in the afternoon. Some places in Mangalore and Bantwal taluks too received some rains in the morning.

Udupi district went without any rain except light drizzle in a couple of regions in Udupi and Karkala taluks. At the same time, hospitals are witnessing an increase in the number of patients suffering from symptoms of fever, nausea, gastrointestinal disorders etc, common phenomenon during the monsoon months.
