Mangalore, Jul2: Reliable sources said that Vaman, an important link in the murder conspiracy to eliminate Prof A S Ramakrishna, administrative officer of KVG Medical College in Sullia, has been arrested. The policemen are yet to confirm this arrest.
Vaman, a close confidante of another accused, Dr K V Renuka Prasad, is said to have played a major role in executing this murder plan. He had gone missing after the policemen zeroed in on other accused in the case.
A special police team had been formed to nab Vaman, who remained elusive even after several days. The policemen are confident that the arrest of Vaman will make their case foolproof.
