Bangalore, Jul 7: The newly elected President of Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) J R Bangera called on Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa along with his team of office-bearrs and leaders of trade and industry in the State.

Bangera, who originally hails from Mangalore and runs his own industry in Bangalore, was accompanied by Senior Vice President K Shiva Shanmugham, Vice President R Shivakumar and others.

The Chief Minister assured the FKCCI delegation that the Government would extend all the support to the Industry and Trade.

The Agro Food Processing Industry would be given all the support as it is a sunrise sector, Yeddyurappa said underscoring the Government’s commitment to encourage the farm sector.

FKCCI would be the partner in the forthcoming Global Investors Meet next year.

A jamboree of Travel and Tourism Fest is also being planned for the New Year Season encompassing all the Southern States. This would be a showcase event for South Indian Culture, Regional Tourism, Culinary Specialties, Arts and Crafts.

The FKCCI chief urged the Chief Minister for reduction in KST on diesel so that the common man will get some relief as he is already burdened with inflationary pressures.
