Mumbai, Jul 9: Shruti Gupta, one of Neeraj Grover’s friends in an exclusive interview to tv channel said that Maria and Grover were not having an affair.

She added that Neeraj Grover who was murdered three years back was a very friendly person and Maria who was accused for destroying evidence relating to his murder was just a friend whom he was helping to get into bollywood. Shruti said that all of Neeraj’s friends knew about his friendship with Maria.  As Maria did not speak Hindi well, Neeraj is known to have guided her.

On speaking about the court’s final judgment on the murder trail, Shruti said that Neeraj’s friends have been planning to re-open the case as they do not agree that justice was done.

Maria was convicted to three years in jail for destroying evidence. Since she had already served three years in jail as an under trail she was let out free.

Neeraj’s friends are planning to hold a blind fold march on July 16 in Mumbai, which will start from Marine Lines and end at the Gateway of India in support to their petition to re-open the murder case. Many celebrities are expected to join the march.
