Rohit Shetty Takes Inspiration, Scenes From 70's Blockbusters

Mumbai, Jul 18: Film maker Rohit Shetty has drawn entire fight sequences from 70's blockbusters Amar Akhbar Antony and Zanjeer in his latest movie Singham.

In Singham, Ajay Devgn who will be playing the lead role will be seen enacting the scenes and also mouthing the same dialogues in the movie.

The scene in which Vinod Khanna is seen unbuttoning his police uniform shirt to beat up Amitabh Bachchan. In Singham, Ajay plays the role of the cop and does the same to Ravi Beasant.

In yet another scene from Zanjeer,  where Pran walks into a police station and tries to sit on a chair, which Amitabh Bachchan kicks away, has been re-enacted by Ajay in the movie.

When contacted, the official spokesperson from the film confirmed the existence of the scenes in Singham and added, "They are used as a tribute to the films of 70's".

Rohit Shetty had earlier paid his tribute to the 70s in his last movie Golmaal 3 with Mithun Chakraborty's character.
