Native of Bantwal dies of heart attack on train at Hassan

Bantwal, Jul 4: A man, native of taluk, who was going to Bengaluru with family in train, died of heart attack at Hassan on Sunday night.

The deceased is identified as Janardhana Kulal (75), a resident of Bantwal Bypass.

Janardhana was travelling to Bengaluru along with his family on train on Sunday evening. As the train reached Hassan, he developed chest pain and was taken to hospital from Hassan railway station. However, the doctors declared him dead on arrival due to cardiac arrest.

Janardhana was fondly called as Babyanna and he had his own Ambassador car. He was the director of Social service cooperative bank of Bantwal and was active in BMS labour union. He also strived a lot for the development of Kulala community and took interest in providing scholarships to students.

Janardhana is survived by wife, son and daughter.
