Puttur: Death of child – Wife files complaint against husband

Puttur, Jul 4: Mother of an eight-month-old child, which was admitted to the hospital because of high fever and died later, filed a complaint against her husband suspecting him to be the reason behind her child’s demise with Uppinangady police.

Jeevith, son of Sridhara Naika and Chitra couple, residents of Santhyadka of 34 Nekkiladi village was admitted to Wenlock hospital of Mangaluru due to high fever. The child succumbed on July 1. Chitra filed a complaint on her husband on July 2 suspecting him to be the reason behind her child’s death.

In her complaint, Chithra, mother of deceased child Jeevith, said, “My son was suffering from fever. I told my husband that I will be going to my parent’s house. My husband Sridhara got enraged and pushed me. I fell down along with the child. Later, the fever of child increased. The death of my child is caused due to my fall when my husband pushed me.”

Police inquired Sridhara Naika. Post mortem report of the child is yet to be released by the doctors.

    Just tell me this comes from childs mother ,complaining husband ?She wanted to go mothers place when child has fever and not well?instead of taking child to doctor first?Naturally father will get enraged by her action ?There must be something behind this.Sad child died .MY heartfelt sympathy to family.Find is not good to complain against father only.She too is partly responsible for his reaction.May be child had some Brain fever?Many times children at this age get this.may the soul of this child rest in peace.
