Mangaluru: Man gets electrocuted due to snapped electricity supply wire at Suratkal

Mangaluru, Jul 6: A man got electrocuted as he touched the electricity supply wire that was snapped on the morning of Wednesday near Kulai grama sangha.

The deceased is identified as Santhosh (31), a native of Kushtagi. Around 3 am, a branch of the tree got cut, fell on the electricity wire and the wire got cut and fell on the ground. Santhosh, who is employed in a factory of Industrial area had to go to work at 5 am. He tried to jump over the rear side compound wall of the house and touched the cut wire unknowingly and got electrocuted.

Santhosh’s wife had given birth to a baby just two days ago. Suratkal police registered a case in this regard.
