Moodbidri: Man slips, falls into pond, dies – Rs five lac compensation declared

Moodbidri, Jul 7: A man fell into the pond as he slipped and died at Mantradi in the taluk.

The deceased is identified as Niranjan N Mudya (42).

Niranjan had gone to check the flooding of rain water on his arecanut farm. While going to the farm he accidentally slipped and fell into the pond.

Deputy commissioner Mugilan said that Rs five lac compensation will be given under natural disaster scheme of the government.
