Indian Christian Union welcomes state decision to set up Christian development corporation

Udupi, Jul 7: Indian Christian Union has welcomed the decision of the government to set up a Christian development corporation.

This announcement was made during the budget speech by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday, July 7.

In a press statement, Prashanth Jattanna, state president of Indian Christian union stated, “On behalf of all Christians, we would like to thank the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for announcing the Christian development Corporation, which has been one of the most important demands of Christians for many years. When different governments came, we appealed to all of them to make the Christian Development Committee a Christian Development Corporation, but it was only an assurance. On this day, the government led by Siddaramaiah has done as promised and announced the corporation for Christian development,” he said.
