Mangaluru: Vanamahotsava programme held at MIO Hospital campus

Mangaluru, Jul 8: Vanamahotsava programme was held on Friday as prelude to MIO-2023 at the campus of MIO Hospital with the active participation of Karnataka forest department Mangaluru division, Dakshina Kannada.

Director of MIO Hospital Dr Suresh Rao and ACF P Sreedhar inaugurated the programme by planting saplings.

Speaking on the occasion, Sreedhar said, “Protecting environment is the social responsibility of everyone. Giving plants to cancer patients and their caretakers and wishing them a life that is as green as the plant is the best kind of treatment.”

Dr Suresh Rao said, “The work done by the forest department for the preservation of the environment, trees and plants is very significant. Everyone should know his or her responsibility and take steps in that direction.”

Dr Venkatraman Kini, Sanjay, Veena were present.
