Kundapur, Jul 9: "Every organization is established with the aim of serving society. When this aim is pursued with sincerity, the organization's mission gains significance," stated entrepreneur and GMT main convener B. Arun Kumar Hegde.

Hegde expressed these views while inaugurating the installation ceremony of Hangaluru Lions Club-27, which took place at Sharon Hotel in Kundapur on Saturday evening.

Immediate past president Rajat Hegde handed over the presidency to the newly elected president, Wilfred Menezes. The newly appointed secretary G M Hanif and treasurer K Ramesh Shetty were present on the dais. The immediate past treasurer, Rovan D’Costa, and Rita Quadras were also in attendance.

During the event, students who achieved the highest marks in SSLC and PUC were honoured. Scholarships were distributed, and Srilahari, who scored the highest marks in PU, received a special felicitation. Retired principal H Balakrishna Shetty read out the names of the students.
