Kundapur, Jul 10: Dalit leader Sathish Kumar Tekkatte accused that a bill collector position that is reserved for Dalit in the Tekkatte gram panchayat is lying vacant for three years and now attempts are made to recruit from general reservation category. He said that this is anti-dalit policy.

Sathish further said, “Though there are eligible beneficiaries under the dalit reservation for the post of bill operator, they are not selected. Now suddenly the panchayat decided to recruit from general reservation category. This is illegal.”

Sathish said that a huge protest will be held in front of Tekkatte gram panchayat on Monday.

Srinivas, Mahesh, Narasimha, Sharath, Gayathri and Vaikunta were present.
