Youth commission of Shimoga diocese holds Yuvamitra Enlivening

Shivamogga, Jul 11: Youth commission of the diocese of Shimoga organized two days of Exposure cum Enlivening programme for elected leaders of the youth council at Tallur-Kundapur on July 8 and 9.

It was a training cum exposure programme which enabled 29 youth of Shimoga diocese to enhance their own leadership qualities and train them to guide and lead young people and teens to face challenges of life.

Fr Edwin D’Souza was the host and also resource person of the programme. He guided the members into various concepts of leadership and team building.

The first day sessions were centred on activity based learning for the young people. The second day of the programme was concentrated on planning for the forthcoming year of youth in the diocese of Shimoga.

The resource person explained how each young person can actively participate and contribute to these events. This was an enriching experience for the participants. They also took active part in Environment Day celebration with the parishioners of St Francis Assisi Church, Tallur.

Fr Pius D'Souza, the youth director of the diocese of Shimoga organised this programme. Lady animators Sr Helen Moras SCB and Sr Tresa Lidya BS accompanied the youth during the exposure-cum-training.
