Udupi district Congress stages silent protest condemning hate politics against Rahul Gandhi

Udupi, Jul 12: The district Congress staged a silent protest against the alleged hate politics against Rahul Gandhi, on July 12 at Ajjarkad Park.

The protest began by garlanding Mahatma Gandhiji’s statue. The protest which began in the morning will continue till 5 pm.

Ashok Kumar Kodavoor, president Udupi district Congress, said, “To show the crooked governance of the BJP, they disqualified Rahul Gandhi from his Lok Sabha membership. They have misused various departments which are under the central government’s control and suppressed the voice of the opposition parties. They are playing politics of hate.”

Kishan Hegde, working president of district Congress said, “We are staging the protest all over the district. To gain political freedom, we are holding a silent protest. With the permission of chief minister Siddaramaiah and deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar, we will hold an aggressive protest in the district.”

“People all over India are in support of Rahul Gandhi. A silent protest is being held in the state in his support. India needs a leader like Rahul Gandhi for his honesty, discipline and down to earth behavior,” said Ramesh Kanchan, president of Udupi block Congress.

M A Gafoor of KPCC, Naveen Chandra Suvarna president Kaup block, Geetha Wagle president Udupi district Mahila Congress, Sourabh Balla president NSUI, Roshni Oliver convener RGPRS, Veronica Cornelio KPCC panelist, Bhaskar Kidiyoor, Prashanth Jathan, Harish Kini, Udyavar Nagesh Kumar, Sarala Kanchan and others were present.
