Kundapur, Jul 12: Block Congress committee of the taluk held silent protest against defamation of Rahul Gandhi by BJP leaders.

The protesters wore black band around their neck. Hariprasad Shetty Kanmakk, block Congress president, Vinod Crasto, chief secretary, Dinesh Hegde, Shivarama Shetty, Vikas Hegde, Hiriyanna and Harron Saheb were present.

Speaking to the media, Hariprasad said, “Former president of AICC, Rahul Gandhi is exposing the connection between PM Modi and Adani continuously on various forums. This bold act of Rahul Gandhi is not tolerated by PM Modi. The suspension of Rahul Gandhi’s membership of Parliament is condemnable. That is why we are holding this silent protest.”

Speaking to media Molahalli Dinesh Hegde said, “All works are done by the BJP to end the politicall career of Rahul Gandhi. We condemn this act.”

Congress spokesperson Vikas Hegde said, “The Congress party brought freedom to this country. Constitutional agencies are misused by the BJP to end the political career of Rahul Gandhi. No one can stop Rahul Gandhi from becoming the next PM of India.”
