Beltangady: Mortal remains of man found in pond

Beltangady, Jul 14: Tammaiah Gowda (43), resident of Maya Atrijaalu of Belalu village in the taluk died after he fell into the tank.

Tammaiah went missing from Wednesday morning. On searching, a torchlight taken by him was found near the pond. On the suspicion that he might have fallen into the pond, Shaurya disaster management team was called. When they searched in the pond, the mortal remains of Tammaiah were found at the bottom of the pond.

It is not known whether the deceased Tammaiah fell into the pond accidentally or killed himself. Dharmasthala police are investigating further.

Harish Koodige, Santhosh Kanakkila, Yashodhara Acharya, Sulaiman Bheemande helped in search operation. The operation was coordinated by Asha.
