Mysore University ready for MoU with institutions offering fine arts courses

Mangaluru, Jul 14: Karnataka State Dr Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University in Mysore University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with various educational institutions and colleges which are teaching fine art courses like dance, Yakshagana, and others.

Speaking in a press meet, the university's vice-chancellor Dr Nagesh V Bettakote said, "Karnataka State Dr Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University has signed an MoU with 10 institutions teaching fine art courses as of now. Any fine art institution can come forward to sign the MoU with Dr Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University.

“July 30 will be the last date to sign the MoU for educational institutions and colleges teaching fine arts,” he said adding that the university will conduct examinations and provide syllabus to art institutions in the district.

Art stalwarts are teaching at the university.
