Sullia: Illegal transportation of cattle, one arrested

Sullia, Jul 15: Police of the city traced an illegal cattle transporting case on July 13 and arrested one person.

Acting on definite tip off, Sullia police waylaid a pickup vehicle that was moving to Kerala from Bellare via Soanangeri road at Artaje. On checking they found that two buffaloes and two calves were being illegally transported.

Police confiscated the cattle, vehicle used to transport the same and arrested the driver.
