Bantwal, Jul 15: Bantwal working journalists’ association condemned atrocities on Nishanth Billava at Puttur on July 15. Nishanth is a member of the association and journalist at Bantwal and Puttur.

“Nishanth, who had gone for news reporting was treated inhumanely, assaulted, his mobile phone was smashed and death threats were posed. The incident posed a hurdle for freedom of the newspaper. The police department should conduct detailed investigation and punish the guilty. Protests will be held otherwise,” stated a press release from the association.
