Beltangady: Koragajja shrine fire incident – Counter complaint filed

Beltangady, Jul 17: A counter complaint is filed with regards to lighting fire to the thatched roof of Koragajja shrine at Badaru of Venur village in the taluk on July 11.

Earlier, a case was registered and one man was arrested. According to the counter complaint filed by Dr Rajesh, trustee of Sri Swami Koragajja Seva Trust, it is alleged that Pradeep Kumar Hedge and his accomplices have formed an unauthorised trust and are collecting money from the public and are trying to take vengeance on Dr Rajesh and his family.

In addition, the complaint also mentions that Pradeep and his gang members are repeatedly giving life threats to Dr Rajesh and family. On June 11, accused Harish Poojary lit fire to the thatched roof due to the instigation and help of others and has betrayed the faith of Dr Rajesh and family. A complaint was filed against 13 people at Venur police station.
