Mangaluru, Jul 17: Former minister Ramanath Rai demanded a SIT probe into communal murders in the district.

Addressing media here on Monday July 17, Ramanath Rai said, “Before the Congress could complete two month of its administration in the state, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel alleged that the law and order has been failed in the state and murders will increase here. Nalin passes comments as though Siddaramaiah has committed the murders.

“Siddrammaiah has never delivered provocative speeches, but Nalin is spreading misinformation to the public. In order to bring an end to it, a SIT probe has to be conducted into communal murders such as Harish Poojary, Vinayak Baliga, Jaleel Karopady, Deepak, Praveen Nettaru, Fazil and Masood,” he said.

Congress leaders Shashidhar Hegde, Sahul Hameed, Surendra and others were present.
