PTCL Act amendment bill in current legislature session, says CM Siddaramaiah

Bengaluru, July 19: Keeping its pre-election promise to bring amendments to the Karnataka Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prohibition of Transfer of Certain Lands) Act, 1978, which is commonly known as the PTCL Act, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday said a bill on the proposed amendments will be introduced during the current session of the State Legislature.

The Congress government walks the talk and keeps its promises. After taking steps to implement the Guarantees, the government is bringing the PTCL
amendment bill to demonstrate its commitment to the voters,’’ he said.

A special meeting of the State Cabinet has approved the amendment bill. The
special cabinet meeting was held two days after holding a meeting of leaders of Dalit communities and lawyers. The cabinet has decided to remove the time limit for filing complaints, the chief minister said.

Siddaramaiah had promised to bring the amendment to the PTCL Act in the
budget presented on July 17.

    Sir i have purchased the site 17 years back they have 50 70 houses has build in my neighbour's also I have earned full life to build my house and my family is leaving happily we donot know this.scst property so many peopels have build houses and living happily now.the government is saying ptcl amendment is doing where to go poor.people some titpadi is doing if any notification come from ptcl we will come to foithpah sir please.remmember for poor people

    when there is supreme court orders giving time limit for filling objection towards scst land....who are these people to amend the act...all plans to screw hard earned money by filing case
