Mangaluru: Mortal remains of woman found in drainage pit of house at Padupanambur

Mangaluru, Jul 20: Mortal remains of a woman were found in the drainage pit of a house near Padupanambur on Wednesday July 19.

The deceased is identified as Nagamma Shettigar (85), a resident of Kallapu. Her body was found in the drainage pit behind the house of Pushparaja Amin.

Nagamma was missing since many months. A missing case was filed in Mulky police station.

The owner of the house where the mortal remains lives in Mumbai and used to visit the house often. Locals got suspicion due to the foul smell and on opening the pit, the body of Nagamma was found.
