Bantwal: By-election for Pudu grama panchayat seat to be held on July 23

Bantwal, July 21: The election officers have informed that the by-elections for a seat in Pudu grama panchayat will be held on Sunday, June 23.

The elections are being held as Hussain, who was a member of Pudu grama panchayat, Bantwal had passed away. Hussain had contested under the backward class A reserved category and won.

There are 830 voters in Pudu ward out of which 414 of them are men and 416 are women.

The elections will be held at Dakshina Kannada Higher Primary School, Sujir south on July 23. Officials said votes will be counted on July 26.

Abdul Latif, Mohammed Ashraf and Mohammed Iqbal have also filed their nominations for the Pudu seat.
