Cash stolen from renowned cloth stores in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Jul 22: Thieves broke into renowned cloth stores of the city and took away cash.

It has come to light on Friday morning that Rs 20000 cash was stolen from Dooja Poojary Co shop at Bhawanti Street in the city.

Owner of the shop Akshay Kumar P K had locked the shop on the night of Thursday after day’s business. On Friday morning at around 8 am, an acquaintance called Akshay and informed that the lock of the shop was broken.

Akshay rushed to the shop and saw that the thieves had broken the lock of the shutter, cut the glass inside and stolen Rs 20000 kept in the drawer.

A case is filed in Bunder police station.
