Mangaluru, Jul 27: “Two women were paraded naked in Manipur. It is really a shameful incident. The Prime Minister spoke for only a minute on the incident,” said KPCC general secretary Kripa Amar Alva.

She was addressing a press meet in Congress Bhavan here on Thursday, July 27. She further said, “BJP leader Smriti Irani and other women leaders are silent on this issue. The Prime Minister never visited the state after such heavy violence.

“No action has been taken to control the violence. Internet has been suspended. Law and order has collapsed in Manipur,” she said.

‘Why can the double engine government not stop violence against women,”? Kripa questioned.

She also condemned the Udupi incident and said that once the FSL report is out, the state government will certainly take the necessary action.
