Mangaluru, Aug 7: The women police station personnel here arrested two push cart vendors who were behaving indecently with school children who were walking on the road at Attavar.

Amar and Sooraj are the arrested accused. A local resident had given the information to the police in the phone-in programme that took place on Friday in the office of city police commissioner. The local resident informed me that the push cart vendors follow the school going girls and also look at them in an indecent manner.

City police commissioner Kuldeep Jain took the matter seriously and instructed the accused into custody. Both are slapped cases under POCSO act.

Women police station inspector Lokesh A C and personnel took part in the operation under ACP Mahesh Kumar of city central section.
