Mangaluru, Aug 10: KPT Polytechnic College had organized an impactful ‘Cyber Crime and Internet Safety’ session on August 4 in collaboration with the cyber crime police station and CyberSapiens. The session attracted a substantial turnout of over 250 students and staff, highlighting the importance of being secure in the digital world.

Commencing with a prayer song and warm greetings, the session was in depth into the intricate aspects of cybercrime, with a specific focus on social engineering techniques like phishing, smishing, and vishing. Through live demonstrations and real-life scenarios with case studies, attendees gained invaluable insights into hackers' strategies for acquiring sensitive information, leaving a lasting impression and enhancing their understanding of the potential risks associated with cybercrime. Alongside it had also highlighted the modus operandi of cybercriminals, utmost significance of personal protection measures.
