Mangaluru, Aug 10: KPT Polytechnic College had organized an impactful ‘Cyber Crime and Internet Safety’ session on August 4 in collaboration with the cyber crime police station and CyberSapiens. The session attracted a substantial turnout of over 250 students and staff, highlighting the importance of being secure in the digital world.

Commencing with a prayer song and warm greetings, the session was in depth into the intricate aspects of cybercrime, with a specific focus on social engineering techniques like phishing, smishing, and vishing. Through live demonstrations and real-life scenarios with case studies, attendees gained invaluable insights into hackers' strategies for acquiring sensitive information, leaving a lasting impression and enhancing their understanding of the potential risks associated with cybercrime. Alongside it had also highlighted the modus operandi of cybercriminals, utmost significance of personal protection measures. The attendees were equipped with essential strategies and best practices to safeguard themselves against cyber threats, empowering them to secure their online presence and prevent unauthorized access to their personal information.
