Kasargod, Aug 14: Annual feast of St Lawrence church of Permude was held with various programmes.
The newly built Grotto was blessed by vicar of Kasargod diocese and parish priest of Bela Mother of Sorrows Church Fr Stany Pereira.
Carmine D’Souza, mother of Naveen D’Souza Odangal, who financed the building of Grotto, cut the ribbon. Fr Melwyn Fernandes and other priests were present. John D’Souza compered the event.
The solemn Mass was offered by Fr Stany Pereira. Fr Melwyn Fernandes, Fr Gladwin Prashant Pinto Belloor, Fr Sebastian Peter, Fr Claude, Fr Reginald D Mello, Fr Vijay D’Souza, Fr Antony Swamy and other nuns were present.
People who have contributed to various activities of the church were felicitated. Secretary of pastoral council Lancy D’Souza, vice president Doreen and other members were present.
