Mangaluru: Monsoon weakens in coastal region

Mangaluru, Aug 28: Monsoon weakened further in the coastal region and the mercury is on the rise.

On Sunday, Mangaluru, Udupi and Kasargod saw sunshine and cloudy weather alternating.

According to the Indian meteorological department there is no forecast of heavy rains in near future. Mangaluru recorded maximum temperature of 31.5 deg C, which is three deg C more than usual for this season. Minimum temperature recorded was 24 deg C, which is also a one deg C more than usual.
