Udupi: Unauthorised, time barred banners removed by local bodies and police

Udupi, Oct 3: The local bodies and the police department in a joint operation removed on Tuesday, October 3, the unauthorised banners in Udupi that were hung without permission and those that were time barred.

The operation was conducted on the direction of the state government after the incident in Shivamogga.

District SP Dr Arun K told reporters in Udupi said that time barred banners that were not removed earlier were removed. “This is only a precautionary measure. Only the banners that were hung without permission and those that were time barred are being removed,” he said.
