Mangaluru, Oct 3: Moodshedde Jara resident Nagaraj Poojary has won the first prize and bagged the gold medal in the state-level Bench Press championship 2023 under the M-93 division held at the town hall here.
He is an active member of Bikarnakatte gym since the last 10 years. He had received the third bronze medal in the Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district-level Mayor cup competitions held in 2015.
He had also secured fourth position in the South India power lifting competitions held at Erode, Chennai that year. He had secured the second prize in the South Kanara and Udupi district-level powerlifting competitions and a silver medal in the competitions held in 2016.
