Belthangady: 25th annual weeklong Bhajan training workshop at Dharmastala concludes

Belthangady, Oct 5: “Bhajans are the basis of devotion. It is included in the religious and cultural tradition,” said the seer of three thousand mutts in Hubballi Dr Gurusiddharajayogindra Swamiji. He was speaking in the concluding programme of a week long Bhajan training workshop held at Dharmastala on Wednesday.

Praising the multidimensional social work of Dharmastala Dharmadhikari D Virendra Hegde, he said that he has made the community revolution in devotion by means of Bhajan training workshop.

Member of Rajya Sabha and well known music director Ilayaraja said that the glory of Dharmastala temple is amazing and cannot be explained in words. “I am immensely happy to have come here,” he said.

He sang a devotional song and entertained saying that he sung the same song at Kollur being the devotee there.

Minister of transport and Muzrai, Ramalinga Reddy said that Hegde is instrumental in a healthy society by means of Bhajan training. “He has provided service by means of education, women’s empowerment and training in self-employment,” he said.

D Virendra Hegde who presided over the programme said that those who obtained Bhajan training should develop leadership quality and lead the progress of their villages. “They should be sincere citizens and make sure that there is happiness, peace and harmony in the society,” he said.

Puliaru Siddappa Ayyappa Swamiji, Manila’s Mohandas Swamiji, Hemavati V Hegde, D Harshendra Kumar, Supriya Harshendra Kumar and S D Sampath Samrajya Shirtady were present.

Chaitra and party performed dance Bhajan. Bhajan training convener Subrahmanya Prasad welcomed. Srinivasa Rao Dharmastala proposed a vote of thanks.
