Udupi, Oct 7: “Shaurya Jagarana Chariot Yatra will reach Udupi on October 10 in the wake of 60th anniversary of VHP. A huge Hindu Samajotsava will be held at MGM college grounds on that day,” said Sunil K R, state convener of BD.
Giving details of the event, Sunil said, “Shaurya Jagarana Chariot will be welcomed at Hejamady at 2 pm on October 10. Procession of the same will begin at 3 pm from Jodu Katte. Various tableaus will accompany the procession. The Shobha Yatra will be flagged off by former minister of Karnataka Pramod Madhwaraj and industrialist Kadthala Vishwanath Poojary.
“At 4 pm Hindu Samajotsava will be held at MGM grounds. Manohar Shetty of Sairadha group will preside. Pejawar Swamiji, Adamaru Swamiji, Akhileshwara Maharaj of Bhopal will participate. M B Puranik, Suryanarayana and Sunil K R will also be there on the dais. More than 50000 people are expected to take part,” he said.
VHP district president Vishnumoorthy Acharya, vice president Ashok, Bajrang Dal district convener Chethan Peralka and others were present.
