Mangaluru: Annual feast of Monte Mariano Church celebrated

Mangaluru, Oct 9: The annual feast of Monte Mariano Church, traditionally known as the Farangipet Coventhachem Fest, in honour of St Francis of Assisi was celebrated on Sunday October 8.

Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, bishop emeritus was the chief celebrant. Nearly 1500 devotees and well-wishers of Monte Mariano along with many Capuchin friars from different corners of Mangaluru gathered for the occasion.

All were served a sumptuous dinner sponsored by Donald D’Souza & family, Kodman - Fr Manohar D’Souza, Capuchin.
