Udupi, Oct 14: “Scams have taken place in Brahmavar sugar factory scrap deal. Government will take more action on this. This is a very sensitive issue,” said agricultural minister Cheluvarayaswamy.

The minister addressed the media in the city. He further said, “it is said that Rs 15 crore scam has taken place. Matter has already been brought to the notice of CM. Investigation has been ordered in this case. Constructing a new sugar factory at Brahmavar is being mulled.

“Demand is increasing to establish agricultural colleges at 15 places in the state. All basic infrastructure is available in Udupi. More discussion in this regard will be held with the government," Cheluvarayaswamy said.

“There is a severe shortage of electricity in Karnataka. Government is working on it to resolve the issue as soon as possible," he said.

“I do not know about I-T raids in Bengaluru. I am in Udupi now. Who has resigned so far for having got some money on the road? Congress MLAs also cannot do the same if the money was found in someone else’s house," the minister said.

“Nalin Kumar Kateel has only one task and that is of only speaking. If he is accusing CM and DCM let him provide proof of the same. There is no need to answer Eshwarappa. The only job Eshwarappa has is to sit in front of TV and listen to news and give press statements," he said.

“We struck an alliance with JD (S) last time. Now BJP will also experience it.  Kumaraswamy has not listened to his father’s words. Neither BJP nor JD (S) will benefit from this alliance,” Cheluvarayaswamy said.
