Mangaluru: Zeus Fitness Gym to hold 8-km run for Dasara on Oct 15

Mangaluru, Oct 14: “Several organisations have joined us to brighten the glory of Mangaluru Dasara,” said Padmaraj of Kudroli Shri Gokarnanatha Kshetra. 

Addressing journalists here on Saturday, October 14, he said on behalf of Mangaluru Dasara, Zeus Fitness Gym will hold a 8-km run on October 15, which will start from Kudroli Temple and end at the Kudroli Temple.

“Already nearly 800 participants have registered their names. Winners will get a cash prize of Rs 5000, Rs 3000 and Rs 2000 for the first, second and third places respectively. The amount of cash prize and trophy will be the same for men and women,” he said. 

City Police commissioner will flag off this event.

South Canara Photographers Association will organise state-level photography and videography competition called Mangaluru Dasara Vibhava. The photography competition will be on the themes 'Sharada Vibhava, Hulivesha Vaibhava’ and ‘Badukina Dasara’. There will be first, second and third prizes in all the three categories. The association also decided to hold competition on videography called Vaibhava Dasara. There will be first, second and third prizes in the competition. The total cash prize will be worth Rs 1 lac.

Padmaraj also added that under the leadership of Janardhana Poojary, Deputy CM D K Shivakumar will inaugurate the Dasara festivities later.
