Mangaluru: Blood donation camp organised by ICYM Omzoor unit

Mangaluru, Oct 16: The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Omzoor unit in collaboration with Red Drop Mangaluru along with the Karavali Auto-rickshaw Association, ICYM Pavoor unit and health commission organised a blood donation camp at Holy Family sabha bhavan Omzoor on Sunday October 15.

Fr Alwyn Dc’Cunha, parish priest of Holy Family Church Omzoor, Arther D’Souza, vice president of parish pastoral council, Dafney Lewis, secretary of PPC, Sr Cynthia Saldanha, superior St Charles Borromeo Convent, Elroy Saldanha, ICYM animator, Sahaul Hameed, president Karavali Auto-rickshaw Association, Farangipet, Melwin D’Souza, secretary commission of health, Ria D’Souza, president ICYM Omzoor and Joyal Johnson, president ICYM Pavoor were the dignitaries present on the dais.









Ria D’Souza, president ICYM Omzoor welcomed the gathering. The camp was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp.

Fr Alwyn D'Cunha in his presidential speech spoke on the importance of blood donation, and encouraged people to donate blood at least once in a year.

Hancil Rodrigues, vice president ICYM Omzoor proposed a vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Tenisha Pinto, secretary ICYM Omzoor.

Total of 36 volunteers donated blood, which was collected under the banner of Red Drop blood bank of ICYM Mangalore diocese.
