Mangaluru: Absconding accused arrested at Mumbai airport

Mangaluru, Oct 17: Police arrested Tausif (27), a resident of Faisal Nagar of Bajal in the city, who is accused in riot, chaos and severe assault cases that took place in 2016, from Mumbai airport.

Tausif did not attend court and was absconding for the past four years. Look out notice was issued in his name by the court.

On October 14, Tausif landed at Chatrapathi Shivaji international airport in Mumbai after arriving on a flight from Saudi Arabia. Immigration officials informed the matter to rural police of Mangaluru.

Police took Tausif into custody from the airport. He was produced in court and is sent to judicial custody.
