Delhi legislators' pay nearly tripled


New Delhi, Sep 5 (IANS) The Delhi assembly Monday hiked the salary of legislators from Rs.32,500 to Rs.90,000.

The lawmakers pay, which includes allowances, was last increased in June 2007, according to the approved proposal, a copy of which is with IANS.

The Delhi government has, over the last year, tried to hike the legislators' salaries citing inflation and the rise in living costs.
