Mangalore: Konkani Musical Concert 'Alwyn Nite' Enraptures Audience

Mangalore, Nov 15: 'Alwyn Nite', a Konkani musical concert of up and coming musician Alwyn Noronha, was held at St Joseph's parish ground, Bajpe, on Sunday November 13.

The programme was sponsored by Mangalore Catholic Co-operative (MCC) Bank as part of their centenary jubilee celebrations. 

'Jalma Kalim' sung by Alwyn, 'Srusti' by Halita Pinto, 'Vorsa Tera Jaalim' by Chrismitha D'Costa, 'Baapoy Duvechem Sambashan' by Alwyn and Sonali Noronha, 'Ankwar Astana' by Femina Moras, 'Swapnacya Lokantlim' by Alwyn, 'Pondar Tujya' by Babitha D'Costa, 'Chedum' by Sydney D'Souza, 'Kahaligi Pida' by Ivan Noronha, 'Jaage Jayath' by Sydney  D'Souza and Elson D'Souza, 'Veera' by Prakash D'Souza, and 'Eka Monachim' by Bajpe parish choir were the highlights of the show. 

Glorious Music troupe of Angelore provided the music. Chris Electronics provided sound and lighting systems.  'Thunder Guys', dance group of Bajpe, performed mesmerizing dances.

Bajpe parish priest Fr Mathias Pereira released 'Baktiponi', a Konkani devotional CD by Alwyn Noronha, on the same occasion. Comedy troupe 'Memory' enthralled the audience with jokes and mimicry. Leslie Rego compered the programme.
