Mumbai (RBI), Sep 20: After a long period without elections, KCA Mumbai has once again elected its leadership, reflecting the trust and confidence the members have in the current team, comprised of both young and experienced professionals.

The trustees elected unopposed are Sunil Lobo as president, Adrian Vaz as senior vice president, Sanjay Rego as secretary, and Boris Buthello as treasurer.

During the AGM, Priscilla Buthello, KCA member and vice-chairman of Citizen Co-operative Bank, praised President Sunil Lobo and his team for keeping the KCA active and vibrant.

The KCA managing council has been organizing various activities such as “Meet & Greet” events for singles, an Entrepreneur Conclave, social gatherings, and sports events. They also provide support to those in need, particularly for educational and medical purposes. Additionally, KCA Mumbai publishes a quarterly newsletter, Amchi Khobar, which is eagerly awaited and widely read by members and friends.

Recently, KCA celebrated Monthi Fest with a Mass led by Fr Daniel, who delivered a homily in Konkani. The celebration included a traditional flower procession to the Grotto, followed by a Novem Jevon meal served on banana leaves with a variety of vegetables in line with tradition.

Sunil Lobo, now serving his second term as KCA president, is the grandson of the late A L Sequeira from Beltangady. A banker by profession, he heads the corporate banking business for Doha Bank in India. He is also president of Bombay YMCA and a trustee of schools in Mumbai and Panchgani.

Daijiworld extended its best wishes to KCA, President Sunil Lobo, and the team, hoping they continue their work in strengthening the Kanara community in Mumbai.
