New Delhi, Dec 3 (IANS): Rajya Sabha MP Kanimozhi Saturday said she would prove her innocence and was happy to be going back to Chennai, four days after she got bail in the 2G spectrum allocation scam.
"I am very happy to go back to Chennai. This is the first step and I will prove my innocence," Kanimozhi told reporters before boarding the flight for Chennai.
Kanimozhi, the daughter of former Tamil Nadu chief minister M. Karunanidhi, will reach Chennai around 1.30 p.m., said a DMK party source.
Kanimozhi, who was given bail by the Delhi High Court Nov 29, walked out of Tihar jail here Tuesday after spending 194 days there. Five others were also released with her.
