Bengaluru, Dec 5: St John’s Medical College Hospital is celebrating its golden jubilee and ‘MedEx 2024’, a medical exhibition has kicked off the jubilee celebrations.
At the inauguration on Thursday, chief guest Fr Arokia Raj Satis Kumar, auxiliary bishop of Bangalore archdiocese, and guest of honour Dr Anju Bobby George were welcomed by the executives and a special display of the newly formed St John’s Nursing marching band.
MedEx 2024 boasts about 50 various stalls put up by the different departments in the institution. These stalls showcase the services being provided in the institution and highlights several of the newer technologies available. Each of these stalls has various interactive programmes for the visitors including video display, demonstrations, health-based games etc.
At the inaugural ceremony, the chief guest stressed the importance of the Jubilee being an opportunity to reflect on the past to help envision the future. Dr Anju Bobby George extolled the services she experienced in St John’s Medical College Hospital before her selection to the Olympics 2014. The director Fr Jesudoss Rajamanickam stressed the fact that all the departments that are doing yeoman service for the community around have taken a lot of trouble to showcase their work in a very innovative and creative way.
Almost 65 departments have put stalls to showcase their work.
The exhibition will run December 5,6 and 7th from 10 am - 5 pm. Entrance is free, and the public is invited to come see, learn and experience health care in the current scenario.
